The role

Fuel Your Passion for Digital Marketing

This is your opportunity to embark on a rewarding career path in digital marketing. You’ll gain invaluable experience working alongside a team at an established UK agency, while simultaneously becoming a core member of the fast-growing ROAST Organic Performance team in Cape Town, South Africa. If you possess a keen analytical mind and a thirst for knowledge, then Organic Performance advertising could be the perfect fit. Sharpen Your Skills and Elevate Your Career

As an Organic Performance  Intern, you’ll work closely with our Organic Performance Analysts (SA-based) and Organic Performance Managers (UK-based), supporting the management of  campaigns across diverse client accounts. You’ll receive comprehensive training, ensuring you develop the necessary expertise to excel in this dynamic field.

 

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the SEO Team in London on a varied client set
  • Conducting key phrase research
  • Contributing to technical audits
  • Content editing & optimisation
  • Internal linking analysis
  • Content gap analysis
  • Backlink audits
  • Contributing towards team resources such as SEO templates
  • Writing blog articles for the ROAST website
  • Acting as a representative of the company at external events such as SEO meet-ups and graduate events

Additional Responsibilities

  • Weekly and monthly reporting and data analysis
  • Attending weekly internal team & company meetings
  • Code writing for websites
  • Attending weekly client meetings & presentations

 

The Candidate

The Ideal Candidate:

We don’t expect you to know everything on day one, but we really want to see:

  • A desire to learn
  • Fluent in English, with a good writing ability
  • A basic understanding of what search marketing is, and how Search might play a role in the customer journey
  • An analytical and curious mind, with an interest in mystery solving

Desirable skills:

  • Experience with MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Understanding of CSS, HTML and W3C standards
  • SEO knowledge or experience
  • An additional language

This position is a 3-month internship with an initial pro-rata salary of R12,000 per month, to be reviewed alongside a permanent contract upon successful completion.

Working at TIPi Group

Location: hybrid working both from home and our lovely office at the Watershed on the V&A Waterfront

Holidays: 6 days for the duration of the internship, plus all public holidays and Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve off;

Our hybrid-working model allows you some variety on your place of work, offering you the chance to work from home on some days each week, where possible. You will be expected to attend the office in line with our company policy. All staff liaise closely with their line manager to manage their time appropriately and according to their work and team requirements.
