‘Restless Minds’ is one of our core values at TIPi Group. But what does it actually mean?

For me, it means instilling a mindset that every process we have as a business can always be improved, and every person in the business has the power to make that change.

Restless Minds is all about promoting constant innovation.

Perhaps the best example of Restless Minds in action that I’ve seen over my two years is the TIPi Academy.

Based off the personal experience of Jessica Hollingbery, a TIPi Group employee who felt her career got off to a false start, it was taken from concept to implementation in just a couple of months and has since continued to completely revolutionise the way we bring young talent into the business.

As well as sourcing us great talent, it has also, most importantly, helped young people at a pivotal point in their careers learn more about themselves and pick a path well-suited to their personality and skillset.

The most recent run of the TIPi Academy ended last week with the traditional Dragon’s Den style pitch, in which the Academists wowed the judges with how far they had come over the past two weeks.

On Thursday night, there was more cause for celebration as Jess and I attended the Employee Engagement Awards in the legendary Troxy theatre, where the TIPi Academy was Highly Commended for Innovation in Engagement.

Going up on stage in front of hundreds of seasoned HR professionals from some of the UK’s biggest brands was quite daunting, but it certainly proved one thing; Restless Minds can take you a long way in a short space of time.
